Looking for a creative way to get moving? Looking to brush up on your contemporary/jazz technique? Want to learn some fun choreography and create within a supportive environment? This class is for you! Come join contemporary dance and musical theatre artist Sydney Hallett in a new 6 week Contemporary Jazz Dance Class at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre!

This class will start at the beginning and is open to all levels of experience. Whether you are a complete beginner, or are looking to continue to practice your technique and play with some fun choreography, this open level class has something in it for everyone. Learn and play in a process based environment focused on exploration and expression. Students will leave this class with a basic movement vocabulary and understanding of technique, and will have the chance to explore their creativity and practice some different styles of choreography.

Classes meet Thursday nights, 7-9, and begin on September 22nd. There is a one time admission fee of $100 to enter into this six week program. This must be paid before classes begin, either in person at the CSAC office or over the phone. Students are asked to wear clothes they can move freely in, as well as jazz shoes or indoor sneakers (but are welcome to go barefoot as well).
